Using the truck on a local trail. The big log didn't get cleared completely on the opening, me and my son Daniel took care of it Saturday.

Yesterday morning these fly fishermen showed up at our camp by the lake, the driver apparently didn't see the ledge, went right off it and onto the boulders. Doh!

Lost compression on number seven cylinder. With valves closed I blew air into the cylinder, it came out the exhaust. I don't know why an exhaust valve would fail so soon. I've been in communication with the rebuilder, he said to pull the head and bring it down.

I don't think so. I thought an overhaul would have included new valve springs, but the rebuilder saId if they're good they reuse them. Doh! Now I'm tempted to get all new ones and replace them. If I caught it before hand it could have been replaced without removing the head, by putting air into the spark plug hole to keep the valve up.

Head and rocker assembly is back on, and surface valley pan goes against is cleaned up. Will do more tomorrow.

Intake, exhaust, and valve cover are back on. Not much more now.
