Time to rebuild the engine.

I worked yesterday and today to get it out, my son Daniel helped today.

You know me, always working on something.

I was already planning on rebuilding it because it had lost a lot of power, then it conked out and had to be towed home. I plan on taking it apart enough to see if it's rebuildable.

Looking forward to following.
Are you going to go in depth on what you do to the engine?

Likely yes.

Took it apart more today, nothing obviously wrong yet.

Number 1 and 2 connecting rods are broken, one bolt came loose and backed all the way off, then the other bolt broke. Once that one was loose, it tore up the other connecting rod. I already took it to the rebuilder. I hope the block is still usable, otherwise I need to tear down another engine and see if the block is good. This block hasn't been bored over, I like that.

These ol things are pretty tough, hopefully the block is good.
