Hello, I know nobody knows me here but I just came across your site and forum. I was considering heading out to Tierra Del Sol, but have some concerns on whether or not 1. My scout will make it or 2. Whether or not it's prepared well enough to do some trails. I see I just missed your last meeting, and I plan on making the next one, but in the meantime does anyone have any suggestions or things I should make sure of before I commit?
Thanks

You don't need a fully modified vehicle to go on this event
Their are plenty of stock or slightly altered vehicles.
This is a family event in w2hich everyone has fun
Base camp (which is where the vender, food trucks and raffle take place sits at the shore area of salton Sea) is always enjoyable to see products, fully modified
crawlers and tons of food
Their is an area adjacent which has an obstacle course
The Saturday run is always interesting or you can do your own thing. Note: Always carnage on the scheduled run
Saturday night is the raffle. When they say maxi-raffle, they're talking about this one
You get 1 ticket for 1 registration for your shot at about 150k worth of prizes.
My type of raffle
Always a good time
We've been going for over 26 years
See ya there

Thanks Vic,
I appreciate the information. Is Scouts West planning on caravanning out in a pack or meeting up there? I live in Anaheim and would like to head out there with you guys if possible.

At a minimum, you need to abide by these requirements set by Tierra Del Sol as you will be inspected to have these items and items functioning correctly.
Mandatory Requirements

They no longer have vehicle inspection
Started that last year
Doesn't mean you shouldn't meet the requirements. Safety first
As far as a caravan, those who live I t5he city should chime in on this one
I live 20 minutes from Palm Springs so I can't help you on that
