345 developed a knock a couple months ago and we had it towed home, just now got the oil pan off. There are chips in the pan, but can’t see where they came from yet. My son is gonna turn the engine over while someone else looks at it, plus we plan on checking compression. We want to repair it from the bottom if possible. This engine was overhauled just a few years ago.

Mg son is thinking a bearing seized and gouged the inside of a connecting rod.
