My IHWR Story to Vic the Sherriff

Hey Mr. Sherriff here is my list... Got trailered to IHWR, EFI had to be tuned, Charging system was not close to 13V but showed 14 in cab, PCV and spark arrestor where not plumbed correctly, alternator bands where loose because its not a matched pair, lost power steering belt turning into where we air down and lock up, E fan relay stopped turning fan on got hot wired by a Mexican I know, on first few climbs rig turned off couldnt crawl so had to Willie Rodriguez it up, was winched by RC Augestine at the second large waterfall, started running better but Greg Samford pulled me up with my strap, was pretty good up to lunch, after lunch on way down felt like it was running out of gas but filter looked good, got a good distance away from the rig behind me but high centered on a rock, dug out 8 inches of gravel with my tires trying to get it out, was tugged by the blue Willys, by that time battery had died from fan being on, had to jump start rig and really started cutting out on me so Ed was kind enough to let me borrow 5 gallons of fuel, at Heep traffic jam a Rubicon was nice enough to hit my driver side rear corner and he drove off like nothing even happened, actually made it down the big waterfall just had to front dig off the rock wall but rig was running really rough, at that point we used your gas to find it it was full since it took about a gallon and spewed the rest. Ok lets change the filter. Toyota guy behind the Heeps actually gave me a spare filter and after a gasoline facial was off again , still running rough. Kept it going with gravitys help and Ange Love spotting me rig started overheating so actually coasted down as much as I could, coming out of the canyons was really running hotand tried to get back to camp on my own power. Didnt even unlock front hubs to just go, go, go!!! Barely made the curve past the ghost town and started sputtering again. Was towed back to camp by a 4runner... At camp after cooling down while coasting rig was running better and cruised into my spot on my own power!!! Since I had to get on the 1s and 2s I told Bill Hamilton that we would just do the rest via mail etc after data logging again. What I found the next day was the number 7 plug wire had come off, wire we connected alternator with was off as well, but after fixing that was idling better than ever. On way home hammered hard with Curtis Carson on my tail. I actually had to slow down a few times after passing semis at 2200 RPMs, and I say RPMS because my speedo cable got burned when the new exhaust went on. Oh yeah overheated at camp idling but lets call that a cooling system pressure test!! A planned running out of gas happened just past Neenach but the rig didnt turn off at all, even thought it was off grinded the starter. From there to Frazier only issue was going uphill since we didnt want to have too much fuel in the tank. Got it to Jeremiah Vogelsang house but had to go pick up our Jeep at John Vogelsang house. Jeep was dead and luckily I found Big Johns emergency power .....
Ok so to finish of the adventure. So I start the Heep, head down the hill from Big John, freaking check engine light turns on. Drove down to Jeremiah Vogelsang, picked up the fuel can I borrowed from James Anthony Sweett and tried to put 3 gallons into the rig. I say try because at least a half gallon spewed up. I had capped the vents at the top of the tank thinking the plastic thingamagig was tapped. While waiting for Jeremiah Vogelsang I looked for my BT code reader but of course its in my Honda since that thing needs to be smogged! J and Aubrey Mollenauer get home, I started to load my stuff from the rig to the truck. Jeremiah Vogelsang grabs his code reader. They where transmission codes??? One that we couldn't even find information on. Figured since battery died out, maybe it was cause of that but his reader could not reset 1 of them. So needless to say, I had to stop at my work, where I parked the Honda, grabbed my BT reader, checked codes, same where displayed and I was able to clear em up. Havent popped up again but we do get letters from lawyers all the time, something to do with the CVT transmission and lemon laws on those Patriots. I arrived home at 9:30 PM but luckily Ange Love took her FZJ80 and was home over 8 hours earlier.... The End Of Night Report

Wmontaney beat me to it.

A paragraph (from the Ancient Greek παράγραφος paragraphos, "to write beside" or "written beside") is a self-contained unit of a discourse in writing dealing with a particular point or idea. A paragraph consists of one or more sentences.[1][2] Though not required by the syntax of any language, paragraphs are usually an expected part of formal writing, used to organize longer prose.
